The Tarheel Travelers RV club is tremendously excited about the 2005 camping season. Our new President, Bubby Rich and his wife Jenny hosted a “winter get together” at the Harbor Bay Restaurant in Hillsborough, NC February 19^th. We had a great turnout with over 12 couples arriving for a super fish dinner, with some traveling over 3 ½ hours to attend. Dinner was followed with delicious and varied desserts at their home. What a great welcome by our new President. We are certainly looking forward to a great camping season. 

Camptown RV, the Tarheel Travelers sponsor had a strong showing at the Raleigh RV and Camper show February 11 – 13. Numerous Tarheel Travelers members were on hand to answer questions about Sunnybrooks and provide real life experiences to prospective buyers. There was a lot of excitement about the 34 foot fifth wheel both the BWKS and the BWFS. Great models! Thanks to Aliene and David Ross for continued support of our club and providing Sunnybrooks at a great price backed with customer support. 

April’s campout will be the 8^th through the 10^th at Jordan Lake in Apex. This NC State Park has a great group camping area. The group area is secluded with electric power, water and a huge covered pavilion that features a massive stone fire place. What a great place on a cool evening.  

Twin Lakes Camping Resort located at 1618 Memory Lane in Chocowinity, NC will be the site for our May campout hosted by Jim and Maureen Barnwell. This campground is located on a peninsula between the Pamlico River and Chocowinity Bay in Eastern North Carolina. This campout is scheduled for May 20 – 22. This is great campground for the fisherman as Twin Lakes has good depth water boat launches with easy access to the Pamlico Sound and some great flounder fishing. The International Rally will be held June 27 – July 1, 2005 in Hutchinson, KS. If you have not had the opportunity to attend a Sunnybrook rally this is one not to miss. This is the week that Sunnybrook and its staff really shine. From food, to repairs, to entertainment, to prizes, this rally should be on your list. TARHEEL TRAVELERS SHIRT

We still have Tarheel Travelers T-Shirts for sale. The Official Hanes 50/50 Tee Shirt color is charcoal. The club name is printed in gold lettering  with the state  outline in Carolina blue. The chapter name is lettered in white. They are a heavy  50/50 blend Hanes tee shirt. We plan to sell S, M, L, & XL for $10.00 each with shipping and handling included. XXL & XXXL are available at $5.00 more. If we can hand delivery at a campout, the cost will be $9.00/14.00 per shirt. As always we will offer some additional cost saving for larger orders.
